Pharma Bridge PhD Program

The Pharma Bridge PhD Program of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Pécs targets domestic partner organizations and professionals already active in the labor market. Within our program, we invite practicing professionals interested in scientific degree acquisition to join the "Optimizing Drug Therapy" program of the Doctoral School of Pharmaceutical Sciences.

It is less known to many that employees can pursue their doctoral studies under state-funded scholarships, receiving a monthly stipend of 140,000 HUF alongside their market salary. Additionally, participants in the Pharma Bridge PhD Program from the Faculty of Pharmacy are eligible for the PTE-UQA Supplementary Doctoral Student Scholarship ranging from 60,000 to 100,000 HUF monthly, which candidates can apply for every autumn by specific deadlines.

The doctoral (PhD) program not only equips candidates with research competencies but also fosters their ability to conduct independent research, enhances their understanding and processing of complex problems, and develops skills in forming independent opinions and engaging in professional public discourse. These experiences, skills gained during the program, and the networking opportunities with both academic and corporate sectors mutually benefit all parties involved.

The leadership and community of the Faculty of Pharmacy at the University of Pécs are committed to expanding the number of colleagues in pharmaceutical supply, the pharmaceutical industry, and research, development, and innovation, who seek to enrich their daily professional knowledge with the latest scientific research results, while being committed to the societal and economic utilization of their knowledge and skills.
